The longer you dance, the deeper the healing. Gabrielle Roth | ||
Your First Class
- Follow your own pace.
- You are responsible for your own body; take physical limitations and any injuries into account.
- Keep your eyes open to stay aware of the space and of others in the room.
- Dance barefoot or in dance shoes (socks can be slippery).
- Move how you feel and stay open to changing.
- Know that everything that is alive has its own dance, and your only task is to find and express yours.
- Enjoy yourself! (Excessive seriousness may slow you down).
Items to bring
- A bottle of water.
- Loose, comfortable clothing with several layers to dance in.
- A dry t-shirt – we could be doing some serious sweating.
- Something warm (jumper/ jacket) to wear when we’re in stillness or sitting at the end (or whenever you feel cooler).
